During operation over spray powder accumulates on the cartridgefilters. As the cartridgefilters load, airflow decreases and thenegative pressure rises withinthe air handler. A timer activates asystem of air purging valves thatclear the cartridge filters of theaccumulated powder to ensure maximumflitter life.
