During operation over spray powder accumulates on the cartridge filters. As the cartridgefilters load, airflow decreases and the negative pressure rises withinthe air handler. A timer activates a system of air purging valves thatclear the cartridge filters of the accumulated powder to ensure maximumflitter life.

powder coating. When a thermoset powder is exposedto elevated temperature, it begins to melt, flows out, and thenchemically reacts to form a higher molecular weight polymer in a network-like structure.
